MARKET INFO ONLY/Not listed by BDRE: Friendship Heights; DC-based Akridge is proposing a PUD with residential units at the old Buick site on Wisconsin Ave (at the Friendship Metro) with ground-floor retail and condos. Proposed designs would include a LEED-certified ("green"), 7-story building, scaling down near the street. Akridge will build 60-70 units, and 13,000 s.f. of retail, reserved for 'neighborhood-serving' business, and make much-needed improvements to neighborhing properties as part of the development. Construction is not expected to start until late 2007. Akridge is referring to the project, for now, as "5220."
